Josie was President of the Brighton Ladies Bowls Club from 2007 to 2010, which was absorbed into the Brighton Bowling Club, following the amalgamation of the RVBA and the VLBA in December 2009.
Val was also President of the Dendy Park Ladies Bowls Club prior to the merger of the Brighton Bowling Club and the Dendy Park Bowls club.
Both Josie and Val, served on various committees including to name just a few, selection, social and provedore, ordering and looking after all items consumed in the members kitchen, and then serving it to our members, which they continue to do after so many years, on either Thursday after pennant practice and or on Fridays during the football season.
Val helped run the Bar at the original Dendy Park Bowls Club. They were also the club representatives as delegates to VLBA Group 19. They prepared the breakfast for members and guests on the annual Australia Day tournament at Dendy Park, and they have been a great team in many other aspects of Club life.
